About the Class

We’re not your typical piano class. Our focus is on singers who want to learn to play piano, with classes designed specifically to develop self-accompaniment skills.

Our group piano class alternates between online and in-person formats. Classes are offered on an affordable sliding scale, with participation free for AVS Singers with voice lesson subscriptions and just $2 for first-time participants without AVS memberships.

At the heart of this project is making music accessible to everyone while ensuring that singers have a foundational level of piano knowledge. Our booking software requires a minimum of $25 for recurring participation, but if that feels prohibitive, let us know—we’re happy to work something out. Contributions closer to the higher end of the scale help us provide better equipment, curated arrangements, and enhanced resources for our teaching staff.

Book Your Next Class

Zoom links will be sent via email for online classes, and addresses will be provided for in-person piano classes. AVS singers can find their discount code in the email with their student portal information. First-time students can fill out a form on our Get Started page to receive their one-time code. We encourage you to leave an additional token if you can, which helps keep the class subsidized for those who request it and ensures that piano arrangements and equipment remain up to date.

Cancellation policy: We do not offer reunds, but we do invite students to reschedule missed or cancelled year in the same calendar year.
